ON Wednesday , 17 th inst ., the annual meeting was held in the Town Hall , Sutton-in-Ashfield , when there was a good attendance . The ceremony of installing the Worshipful Master was performed bv Bro . G . G . Bonser P . P . G . St . B ., who installed Bro . P . J . Fenwick , of Skegby , as the W . M . for the ensuing year , succeeding Bro . J . G . Allsop .
An adjournment was afterwards made to the Denman ' s Head Hotel , where the Brethren sat down to an excellent banquet served by Bro . R . Keeley , the host . The usual toast list was gone through , and songs were rendered in the course of the evening , which was harmoniously and enjoyably spent . » »

THE annual meeting took place at the Masonic Temple , Guildford Street , Cardiff , on Tuesday afternoon , 16 th inst ., when the ceremony of installation was undertaken by the W . M . Bro . A . H . Parker Prov . G . A . Purst ., and was smoothly carried out . During the evening the customary banquet was held at the Angel Hotel .

Lodge was opened at an early hour , the principal business being that of installing Bro . Alfred Blades Smith S . W ., which ceremony was performed by the retiring Master , assisted by Past Masters W . B . Akerman P . P . G . A . D . C , Wm . Charlton Prov . G . J . D ., W . A . Boyer P . P . G . R ., and F . Thomas .

Before the Lodge was closed , a very handsome Past Master ' s jewel was presented to Bro . Smith , which bore the following inscription :
Presented to WOR . BRO . ARTHUR CLOWES KNIGHT SMITH P . M . by the Brethren of the Manchester Lodge , No . 2554 in recognition of the valuable services rendered by him as W . M . 1899-1900 . 12 th October 1900 .
The Festival of St . John followed , being held in the dining room of the institution . This during the vacation has been altered and splendidly decorated , and it is now undergoing further alterations which are calculated to make it one of the most handsome dining rooms in the city of Manchester .
Loyal and Masonic toasts were duly honoured , that of the Worshipful Master being proposed by Bro . Smith I . P . M ., who wished his successor a pleasant and successful year of office . The period which he had devoted to office had been undimmed by a single cloud , and he hoped the new W . M . might have a happier and more prosperous one than himself if that were possible .
Bro . Alfred B . Smith W . M ., in replying , referred to remarks made by the Deputy Provincial Grand Master , who had impressed upon them the desirability of doing their work well , and the speaker personally promised that what he might attempt would be for the best interests of the Lodge . His -predecessor had had a good year of work , and though he himself might not be so well prepared as their late W . M . the latter would always be present to back him up .
The W . M . proposed the health of the I . P . M . and Installing Master , who he said was connected with other Lodges in the Province , was a Founder of the Manchester Lodge , and , besides having put in a large amount of work , had not absented himself from a single meeting .
Bro . Smith I . P . M . replied , thanking the Brethren for their cordial reception of his name . He also thanked those who had in any way assisted him during his year of office , in which period he had had the pleasure of taking part in the initiation into their midst of seven most excellent Brethren . They had also welcomed two . joining Brethren , one of these being from across the Channel , and the other from the adjoining Province of West Lancashire .
. The W . M . proposed the toast of the Past Masters , Bros . Boyer , Charlton , and Akerman responding , the latter in a very humorous speech . Other toasts followed . Furnival Lodge , No . 2558 . INSTALLATION OF BROTHER WALTER SISSONS . rpHE annual meeting and installation took place at the Masonic JL Hall , Surrey Street , Sheffield , on Friday , 12 th inst ., there being present a representative gathering of Freemasons of Sheffield and district .
At the opening of the proceedings Bro . Walter Fearnehough W . M . presided , and the W . M .-elect Bro . Walter Sissons S . W . was presented by Bro . Charles Stokes P . P . G . S . D . Senior Past Master of the Lodge . The ceremony of installation was ably conducted by Bro . Fearnehough , and during , the proceedings a suitable anthem was ably rendered by Bro . W . C . Newton . The newly-installed Master afterwards invested his Officers .
The W . M . presented Bro . Fearnehough with a handsome gold P . M . jewel in-recognition of his valued services during his year of office . Lodge having been closed , the Brethren assembled at a banquet in the dining hall , the tables being prettily decorated .

An address and jewel were presented to Comp . W . Rees Lewis P . Z ., by the Companions , as a mark of the grateful appreciation of his services to the Chapter and his uniform kindness to them as individual members thereof . A banquet was afterwards held at the Castle Hotel .
