Whose Father , Bro . JOHN GASCOIGNE FAWCETT , late of fche " Limes , " Heme , Kent , was initiated in the " St . Augustine ' s Lodge , " No . 972 , on the 18 fch of May 1881 , and continued a subscribing member until February 1886 . He was one of the Founders of fche Ethelberfc Lodge , No . 2099 , and was Senior Deacon of thab Lodge up to the time of his death , which took place ( after a protracted and severe illness ) on fche 6 th of August 1886 . He was always ready to help in the cause of charity and his fellow creatures . He has left a widow and six children almost totally unprovided for . Majesty Queen Victoria , and Empress of India , ifc be resolved thafc the Grand Lodge of England do prepare forthwith a foundation-stone , and the same be consecrated by our present M . W . Grand Master His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales , K . G ., & c , Ac , or his

nominee in London . The foundation-stone to be ultimately firmly placed , if possible , upon the ground in or near the original site of King Solomon ' s Temple in Jerusalem , and thafc the rebuilding of the said Temple as a " House of Prayer for all Nations " shall be proceeded with as soon as necessary funds be provided .

That wifch a view of providing the funds as speedily as possible for the rebuilding of King Solomon ' s Temple as a "House of Prayer for all Nations , " ifc be resolved that all present afc the consecration of the foundationstone by tho Most Worshipful Grand Master shall be allowed to place contributions on the stone , the same
