OLD GLOBE LODGE , No . 200 . THE Centenary gathering of the Old Globe Lodge , Ko . 200 , took place at the Masonio Hall , Scarborough , on the 15 th instant . After tho usual business the centenary warrant was presented to the Lodge by Bro . Wiwrfiill P . ("" . Treasurer , & c , and was suitably acknoiv-1-dewi . by tlie W . M . Bro . Walshaw . A history of the Lodgo was read by Bro . Peacock , after whioh a Masonio anthem was sung , and the

proceedings closed . A banqnet subsequently took plnco at the Itoyal Hotel , a largo number of brethren boing present , including many invited guests from the North and East Ridings Province , and else , where . An excellent repast was provided by Bro . Hartmanu , after

which the usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were honoured , including that of tbo Mayor of Scarborough Bro . II . Darloy P . M . The evening ' s proceedings were uiuoh enhanced by songs from Bros . Raine , Harland , Catloy , Ascongh , and Fletcher , Bro . Peacock jun . boiug musical director .

STAFFORDSHIRE KNOT LODGE , No . 726 . ON Wednesday , the 15 th inst ., at the annual festival of St . John , Bro . Dr . E . W . Taylor P . P . G . O . waa installed as W . M . of this Lodge , in the presence of a large number of visiting brothren and brethren of the Lodge . The ceremony was ably performed by the Installing Master , Bro . Frederick Taylor Prov . G . S . The following Lodge Officers for the ensuing year were invested by the W . M .: — Bros . Frederick Taylor Prov . G . S . I . P . M ., W . G . Taylor S . W ., Nevitt

At the conclusion of the business , the brethren sat down to an excellent banqnet , when the following toasts were duly honoured : — "The Queen and the Craft , " proposed by Bro . Dr . Taylor W . Grand Master of England , the Deputy Grand Master the Earl of Lathom , and the Oflicers of Grand Lodge present and past , " proposed by the W . M ., and responded to by Bro . Bodenham Prov . G . S . W . and Past A . D . C . England . The next toast , that of " The Prov . Grand Master Col . Foster Gough , the Deputy Prov . G . M . Lieut . Col . Bindley , and the Officers of Prov . Grand Lodge present and past , " was

proposed by Bro . Joyce and responded to by Bro . Popper P . P . S . G . W ., and Perkins P . P . G . A . D . C . Bro . Bodenham then proposed tha health of the newly installed Worshipful Master , wishing him a prosperous year of office , and the W . M . suitably responded . MERCHANT NAVY LODGE , No . 781 . THE installation meeting took place on Wednesday , tho Sth insfc ., at tho "Silver Tavern , " Burdett Road . Tho W . M . Brother Somerset W . Timson presided , and was assisted by a full mnster of Past Masters . Among the visitors wero : —Bros . Berry P . M . P . Z ., and Cotter P . M ., of 554 , Kiuipple P . M . 1816 , Bichards W . M . 813 , Finoh 1901 , Foulds 1259 , Hallett 1816 , Vallauce

Temperance-in-the-East , Lewis , Griffiths 1382 , and Stevens 2272 . Lodge being duly opened , tho minutes were read and confirmed . Tho chief bnsiness of the evening was then proceeded with . Bro . Pringle presented Bro . Pasfield to the W . M . for installation . A Board of Installed Masters was formed , and Bro . Pasfield was , according to ancient rite , duly

inducted into tho chair of K . S . On the return of the brethren to the Lodge tho Now W . M . was saluted by the brethren in the varions degrees . M . performed the dnties of installing Officer with his characteristic precision of manner , and his delivery of the various addresses was marked with clearness and impressivoness . Other business being disposed of , a banquet followed , and tho W . M . rose to propose tho Loyal toasts , which wero received with Masonio fervour . Bro . Timson P . M . proposed the health of Bro . Pasfield , and was sure that in him the Lodge had a W . M . who

In reply to the toast of Installing Officer , Bro . Pringle cipreesed his heartfelt thanks for the way in which his health had beeu proposed and received . On the W . M . they could rely as a good practical man , like bis predecessor ; he would follow the same

successlal course . For tho Visitors , Bros . Berry and Cotter , two veterans in Masouic honouis , responded , expressing their gratification with the work of the Lodge , and their pleasure in assisting in the honours of the fourth degree . For tho Past Masters , Bro . Gaisford replied , referring to the W . M . as ono of the youngest ho had seen appointed , .:- ! ct"one whose hard work in the Lodye of Instruction had fitted him

for his elevated position . Bro . Reeves also added a few words . For the Masonio Charities , Bro . Daniel replied . He . said their sympathy nnd support would be especially welcome in the case of aged people . It was painful when those who are in the decline of life were compelled to ask assistance . There were now 146 applications before

the Committee , and the funds would only allow for twenty-six . What waa to become of those who wero disappointed ? If all Masons subscribed to these Clarities , thero would be room for all applicants . For the Officers , Bros . Gooch , Anderson , Seage , aud Burgos responded . Between the interval some capital musical selections were performed .

FRANKLIN LODGE , No . 838 . npHE brethren held a Lodge of Emergency on the 16 th inst ., in X celebration of the 105 th anniversary of the death of Sir John Franklin , after whom the Lodge is named . The Franklin coat-of . arms was unveiled , aud Bro . Barratt gavo a lecture on the American mode of rendering the ritual .

HORNSEY LODGE , No . 890 . A LARGE gathering of Master Masons assembled afc the Lewisham Masonio Rooms , adjoining tho White Hart Hotel , High Street , Lewisham , S . E ., on Thursday evening , tho 16 th iust ., for the purpose of hearing the ceremonies of consecration and installation rehearsed by Bro . James Terry P . G . S . B . and Secretary R . M . B . I . Amongst those present were the following Officers of the mother

Lodge : —Broa . Pickering W . M ., Carderliar S . W ., Squire J . Pitt J . W ., Dr . Kempster P . M . Treasnrer , Drew P . M . Secretary , Garrard S . D ., Villaneuvo J . D ., and numerous members . Thero were also present

Bros . James Stevens , Martin , Joyce , Axford Bonner , Tilling , Fieldsou , Catt , Lancaster , and Norris Past Masters , Robin Secretary , and 33 other members of the Lodge of Instruction . Other Lodges represented were Noa . 140 , 147 , 201 , 217 , 525 , 548 , 834 , 871 , 879 ,

1076 , 1275 , 1329 , 1423 , 1446 , 1471 , 1539 , 1563 , 1571 , 1572 , 1981 , 1997 , and 2332 , by a grand total of 43 visitors , of whom 26 became members before the Lodge was olosed . About 100 brethren were seated comfortably , leaving " ample room and verge enough " for all the important and imposing details of tho consecration ceremony . How that ceremonial was performed by Bro . Terry it is needless to describe , his great ability and impressive method in connection with

this beautiful portidn of Masonic work being so generally known throughout tho Craft . As with the first portion of the evening's labour , so with that of the installation , Bro . Terry ' s exposition gave general satisfaction , whioh at the conclusion of his several addresses was expressed by acclamation . The thanks of the Lodge of Instruction and tho customary compliment of honorary membership were voted to Bro . Terry , with one voice , and after the usual routine

business , tho Lodge was closed , aud the brethren adjourned to supper , Bro . Pickering the W . M . of the mother Lodgo , No . 890 , presiding . The entire proceedings reflected the greatest credit upon those brothren concerned in providing for the reception , comfort , and entertainment of the members and thoir visitors , and tbe Lodge itself has , we imagine , good reason to be satisfied with the success whioh has attended ita first exoteric announcement of its very recent establishment .

TEMPLE LODGE , No . 1094 . ON the Sth inst ., iu the presence of a large and representative gathering of the Masonic Brotherhood , Bro . Lett was installed Worshipful Master , at tbe Masouic Hall , Hope-street , Liverpool . The Lodge was opened by Bro . Alexander W . M ., supported by Bros . P . M . ' s Pye , Kellett Smith P . P . G . B .,. Alexander , Yelland P . P . G . Stand . Bearer , and Fisher E . Boustead . Bro . Lett , presented by Bro . Dr . Kellett

Smith P . P . G . R . and Bro . Boosted P . M ., was installed in the ohair of Worshipful Master by Bro . Pye P . M . Bro . Alexander , the rhtiring P . M ., was presented with a P . M . ' s jewel in recognition of hia services to the Lodge . The W . M . then invested the following brethren as hia Officers for tho enauing year : —Broa . Alexander I . P . M .,

M . with a handsome diamond and emerald ring , for Mrs . Alexander . A choice musical programme was given by Bros . Bain , Battey , Hamblett , Ironsides , Neighbour , Wylie , and Bro . Maccan , concertina soloist .

FRIARS' LODGE , No . 1349 . A LARGE number of brethren and visitors assembled on Monday , at the " Ship and Turtle , " Leadenhall-street , for the purpose of witnessing the installation of the W . M ., and other bnsiness . Bro . B . D'Acosta presided , and was assisted by Bros . Musto P . M ., Marks P . M ., Friedeberg P . M ., Pierpont P . M ., Oxley P . M ., Weston P . M .
