during the week preceding the Bink Holiday , when large numbers of people avail themselves of the opportunity thus afforded for obtaining tickets at their own time and without the crowding and worry inseparable from a large railway station at holiday seasons . The fares charged are the same as at Paddington , and the tickets are available for use nnder precisely the same conditions as those issued

afc that station . The following are the offices at whioh tickets are issued , viz .: —193 and 407 Oxfoid Street , 23 New Oxford Street , 269 Strand , Holborn Circus , 29 Charing Cross , 26 Eegent Street , 5 Arthur Street East , London Bridge , 82 Queen Victoria Street , 43 and 44 Crutohedfriars , 67 Gresham Street , 4 Cheapaide , and the L . B . and S . C . Company ' s Office , nnder the Grand Hotel , Trafalgar

Square . The booking offices at Paddington stat ion will be open for the issue of tickets all day on Wednesday , Thursday , Friday and Saturday , July 27 th , 28 th , 29 th and 30 th , and the tickets issncd ( except those for special excursion trains ) will be available for use on any of those days .

To meefc the expected additional traffic by the ordinary trains on Saturday , 30 th July , the Company will run in duplicate , the 10 * 15 a . m ., 1 * 15 , 3 * 0 , 50 and 9 0 p . m . trains to the West of England , and the 11 * 55 , a . m . 3 * 15 and 5 * 45 p . m . trains to Weymouth , Hereford and South Wales respectively . The first portion of the 5 * 0 and 90 p . m . trains will leave Paddington at 4 * 55 and 8 * 55 p . m . respectively , but

the first portions of the other trains will leave at the advertised times , and the second a few minutes afterwards , the long distance passengers being as far as possible taken in the first portion , but wifch a few exceptions both trains will stop at the advertised stations to take np and set down passengers . On Friday , 29 th July , an excursion train will leave Paddington at 7 * 45 a . m . for Gloucester ,

Cardiff , Newport , Swansea , New Milford , & o . ; passengers will also be booked at excursion fares to certain stations in the South cf Ireland . Fast excursion trains for fche West of England will leave Paddington at 10 * 15 p . m . on Friday , 29 th July , and at 7 * 45 a . m . and 2 * 30 p . m . on Saturday , 30 th July , reaching Exeter in 5 £ hours and Plymouth in 7 i hours ; and excursions will also be run on the same day to Bath , Bristol , Dorchester , Weymouth , ( for fche Channel Islands ) ,

Cheltenham , Worcester , Malvern , Hereford , Birmingham , Wolverhampton , Shrewsbury , Chester , Liverpool , Manchester , and other stations on the Great Western system . On Sunday , 31 st July , excursions will be run to Cirencester , Stroud , Gloucester , Cheltenham , & c , and on Monday cheap trains will be run to Oxford , Leamington , Birmingham , Wolverhampton , Bath , Bristol , Stroud , Gloucester , Cheltenham , Beading , Pangbourne , Goring , Wallingford , & o .

THE London and North-Western Railway Company announce that the ticket offices at Euston , Broad Street , Kensington , and Willesden Junction will be open in the usual way for the issue of tickets for any destination on their line . Tickets , dated to suit tbe convenience of passengers , can also be obtained at any time ( Sundays and Bank Holidays excepted ) at the usual town receiving offices of

the Company . The London and North-Western Kauway Company have , as usual , a strong list of attractive excursions for the holiday season . Next Saturday cheap tickets will be issued to Birmingham , Coventry , Leamington , Kenilworth , Warwick , Walsall , Wolverhampton , Leicester , Barton , Derby , Liverpool , Manchester , and other

parts of Lancashire ; the various parts of Wales , the English lake district , and , in fact , all of the principal stations served by this important system . Also on August Bank Holiday , excursions will bo run to most of the places mentioned above which are within tbe

limits of a day trip . As regards tbe regular Tourist Service , the London and North-Western are making every effort to cater for their patrons , and it is expected the demand made on their resources will clearly demonstt ate the popularity of their route .

THE Midland Kauway Company have arranged , with a view to tbe greater convenience of the public , that the Booking Offices at St . ( with dining saloons attached for first class passengers ) arriving at Glasgow at

Highland and Aberdeen Express runs every week night ( except Saturday ) and also on Sundays .
