delighted at what he had heard in the Lodge , that it would be a long time before he forgot the perfect work ho had witnessed that day . The Confidence Lodge ought to consider itself very fortunate in having two such distinguished members at its head as the Immediate Past Blaster and the present W . M . Bro . W . H . G . Rudderforth also responded . The W . M . now submitted the toast of the Installing Master—his
predecessor in the chair of the Lodge . Not onlv had Bro . Plowright performed his work as Master with credit to himself , but also to the entire satisfaction of every member of the Lodge , and bearing this in mind it was with extreme gratification he had to present to Bro . Plowright , on behalf of the members , a Past Master's collar and jewel , and with it the sincere hope that the Great Architect of the Universe might spare him for many years to be among them and continue his good offices on behalf of the Lodge .
Bro . Plowright regretted that at the very late hour to which the meeting had extended ho could only cordially thank them for the very kind way in which the toast had been proposed and received , and for the handsome presents they had just made him . He felt he had only friends in the Lodge , every member of which seemed to vie with the others in endeavouring to make all
happy and comfortable . He had experienced the most sincere friendship from every member during the past year , and could fearlessly say there was not a member of the Lodge he could not hold out his hand to and feel he had a true friend to answer it . He thanked the members most heartily for all the kindnesses they had shown him , and sincerely hoped the Lodge would treat the Worshipful Master in the same generous way as they had treated him .
The Treasurer , Secretary and other Past Masters , together with the Officers , were also toasted , and the proceedings concluded in the usual way . The musical programme was under the direction of Bro . E . H . Lough Organist of the Lodge , who was supported by Miss Rosabelle Beste , Bro . Carl Brandt , Bro . Edwin Henry , and Bro . Fred . W . Stephens . Bro . J . W . Simeons S . D . gave the solo after the toast of the Grand Master .
We have much pleasure in adding a portrait of the new Worshipful Master Bro . Thomas Kington , who was initiated in the Lodge over which he now presides , in November 1889 , and who has our best wishes for a very successful year of office .

Reports Of Meetings.
The three addresses were afterwards delivered in a masterly style , and without the slighest hitch , and received the warm approbation of all the Brethren . The Auditors presented their report , such showing a good balance in hand . It was proposed that one guinea be handed to the Guy ' s Hospital Fund , which proposition was agreed to .
Several letters were read from members and intended visitors , expressing their regret at being unable to attend , Bro . W . M . Stiles Past Grand Treas . being among the number . The Lodge was then closed , and the Brethren adjourned to the Bless Room , where an excellent banquet was provided , the wines and viands being of the very best .
The cloth being removed the W . M . rose , and , m very becoming manner , presented the toast of the Queen and the Craft , dilating on Her Majesty ' s excellencies and beneficent long reign of sixty years . In giving the toast of the M . W . G . M . the Prince of Wales the W . M . stated that his Royal Highness was a most active worker for the Craft , and expressed his wish that the toast might be received with Blasonic and military honours , which was duly done .
The toast of the Grand Officers was next given , and was acknowledged by Bro . Scurrah , who spoke especially of the executive Officers of Grand Lodge . The Presidents of the Board of General Purposes and of the Board of Benevolence were always ready , when called upon , to perform any function . A better Grand Secretary could not be—for he was equally kind to the youngest Entered Apprentice as to the oldest Mason . Bro . Scurrah said he was proud to be a member of the Bloomsbury Rifles Lodge , and eulogised
the Brothers Biogford—he saw them both installed , and had watched their respective careers . To see one brother installing his own brother was rather unique , in its way . The Installing Blaster had been perfect in the rendering of the ritualistic portion , and his brother the W . M . presided over the festive board in such a manner as though he had been born to it . Bro . Scurrah concluded by saying that he knew the Lodge from its formation , and was pleased at its progress .
Bro . G . Mogford the Installing Blaster and I . P . BI . had great pleasure in proposing the toast of the W . M . —it was a double pleasure , for he gave it not only as I . P . M ., but as brother of the W . M ., who was well worthy of the confidence repose I in him by the Brethren . He was proud and pleased that he vvas not forgetful of the great monument of Freemasonry , the charities , and would still go on supporting them . He concluded by trusting that the G . A . of the U . would give their present Master health and strength to carry out his duties to their satisfaction .
The W . M ., in reply , said he thanked them for the hearty way the toast had been responded to . It was indeed a satisfaction to him to be W . M . of his Blother Lodge—thanks to the J . W ., who allowed him to step over his head . He promised to follow in the footsteps of his predecessors , and at the end of his year of office he hoped he should return the Warrant of the Lodge to his successor as pure and unsullied as he had received it .
The VV . M . now , in the name of the Lodge and in a few appropriate words , presented the I . P . M . with a handsome Past Blaster ' s jewel , remarking that many of the Brethren present had known him from childhood . He trusted that memento of the feelings of the Brethren would remind him of the present year , the 60 th of Her Majesty's reign , and the 100 th of the regiment .
The I . P . M ., in replying , said at the present moment he had attained to the summit of his ambition , though , at the same time , he could not forget the night he was initiated . He had persevered , and followed the good example of the Past Blasters , and , as I . P . BI ., he was not going " to be on the shelf , " but would give assistance and help to those who might ask him , and thus enable them to attain the high office in whioh he had just completed his
year ' s turn . The I . P . M . advised the coming Brethren and Officers to attend the Westbourne Lodge of Instruction , where he had attained a large share of his Blasonic knowledge , which , by their applause , gave him and those of the Lodge of Instruction who were present ample satisfaction and encouragement to go on . The jewel bore the following inscription : —
Presented to BEO . G . W . MOGFOBD , As a mark of esteem for his most efficient services during his year of office , 1896-7 . —Septimus . The toast of the Visitors , of whom there were about thirty present , was next given .
Bro . Blason P . M ., & c , in reply , said he was pleased to be present at the Installation of the W . M . of the Bloomsbury Rifles Lodge . He hoptd the G . A . of the U . would spare the two brothers—the W . M . and the I . P . BI . —for many years to como to attend to their duties to the satisfaction of their Lodge and the Craft in general . He was delighted to see the excellent working of that evening .
Bro . R . J . Rogers Past Master of the Westbourne Lodge , No . 733 , next responded . He was most happy to be in their company again , and to see so many old friends . He congratulated the W . M . on being installed into the chair by his own brother , and also congratulated the I . P . BI . on the splendid manner in which he had performed the ceremony . It gave him additional pleasure to be present as he had marched in the same company of the regiment as the VV . M . for seven years . He wished the W . M . a happy and prosperous year of office , as he was sure he would do excellent work for
the Lodge . Afterwards Bro . H . Dehane P . M ., & c , responded in his usual eloquent manner , as also did Bros . Campbell , Denny , Heath , Bolton , and several others . The Tyler ' s toast closed a very happy and eventful evening . An excellent programme of music was arranged by Bro . George Goddard , who was ably assisted by the follovving artistes : —Madame Helen Coleman , Madame T . Kellnway , Bro . W . Ballard , and others . Bro . E . T . Delevanti presided at the piano .
