Both the ceremonies were admirably carried through .

After the necessary formalities , a Board of Installed Masters was formed for the installation of Bro . Bushforth , which was done in a smart and complete manner by two well-known Brethren , Bro . Calver in the chair , and Bro . James Smith as D . C . On the re-admission of the other members and visitors , the salutes were duly given , and the W . M . proceeded with the investiture of his Officers .

On the completion of the ceremony the Lodge was closed , and the Brethren adjourned to the banqueting room , an attractive menu having been provided , to which the necessary attention was paid . The speeches and toasts following were commendably brief , but adequate , and in the course of the proceedings the I . P . M . Bro . Caslake was presented with a Past Master's ewel amid the congratulations of the company .

ECLECTIC LODGE , No . 1201 . THE installation meeting was held at Freemasons' Hall , Great Queen Street , on Friday , 14 th inst . Bro . Anley P . M . occupied the chair , and initiated Messrs . These gentlemen being in attendance , were

regularly initiated into the mysteries and privileges of the Craft by the W . M . The Lodge was opened in the second degree , when Bros . C . W . Penwarden , C . W . Batt , Herbert Cole , and F . Flowers were passed to the degree of Fellow Craft . Bros . C . Beeve , T . The whole of the ceremonies , which included the traditional history and the lecture on the tracing board in the third degree and the charge to the Initiates were performed by Bro . Allen in a most perfect manner , which fully justified his position as Preceptor of the Lodge of Instruction , and should create a worthy spirit of emulation among the junior Brethren . The duties of the Deacons , which tend so much to add to the impressiveness of the ritual , were admirably rendered by Bros . Bland and Whitlock .

A sum of twenty guineas was voted to the Worshipful Master ' s list , as Steward for the Benevolent Institution . The Lodge Benevolent Fund being in such a healthy condition it becomes necessary to pass a resolution that all amounts over d £ 50 , which is kept in reserve for the relief of necessitous Brethren , shall be handed to the W .
