The W . M . expressed his intention of rehearsing the third degree , for which Bro . Jaggers kindly offered himself candidate , and having answered the questions he was entrusted . The Lodge was opened in the third degree and the ceremony of raising was rehearsed , and we compliment the W . M . on his excellent rendering of the ceremony . The Lodge was resumed to the first degree and by desire of the W . M . Bro . F . Strutton , with the assistance of the Brethren , worked the third section .

Bro . W . Strutton was elected W . M . for Wednesday next , and he proposed that a letter of sincere condolence be sent to the relatives of the late Bro . George Gravelcy P . G . Purs . of England , which proposition was carried unanimously . * * *

The usual festive board was held in the dining room of the Hall .

It was worthy of special notice in connection with our report of the Festival of the Boys School last week that Bro . Captain J . Barlow , one of the candidates before the Craft for the Grand Treasurership of igoi-2 , was again to the fore , attending as an unattached Steward with the respectable list of £ 294 .
