BROTHERLY LOVE LODGE , No . 229 , YEOVIL . THE installation of Bro . W . J . Nosworthy S . W . P . M . P . P . G . O . Somerset , as Worshipful Master , took place at the Chonghs Hotel , on Wednesday , when there was a largo attendance , including brethren from the adjoining Provinces of Dorset nnd Devon . Among those present , in addition to those belonging to the Lodge , were Bros . Hughes , Hunt , Coombs , Gillard , Good , Rugg , Masters , Todd Naylor ,

Roberts , Stuart Boyd , Harrold , Green , Butler , Targett , Phillips , Wheatley , Summers , Tompsett , & o . The installation ceremony was ably performed by Bro . Else P . G . D . Deputy Provincial Grand Master . After the Worshipful Master had been placed in the chair , he proceeded to appoint his Officers for the ensuing year , as follow : —

Bros . Cobb I . P . M ., Milbourne S . W ., Croaker J . W ., Cox Treasurer , Stanton Secretary , Baskett S . D ., Rodber J . D ., Edgar M . C , Harwood Organist , Raymond I . G ., Denman Steward , Watts Tyler . At the closing of tho Lodge , the brethren partook of a banquet , when the usual Masonio toasts were duly honoured .

ST . PETER'S LODGE , MALDON . THE members of the above Lodge held their annual widgeon supper on Tuesday , after Lodge . At Lodge the W . M ., Bro . Cramphorn , assisted by tho Wardens Bros . John Hutley and Edmund Gowers , raised Bro . Arthur Barritt . The supper , held at the Blue Boar

Hotel , did not possess a strictly wild fowl character in consequence of the impossibility of procuring a good snpply of birds , which necessitated the introduction , for the firsfc time , of joints . The W . M . presided and was supported by his Wardens , Past Masters and tho following Visitors : —Bros . Osmond 51 , Bryant 1329 , Jarvis , and Williams 276 , & c . A pleasant evening was spent .

PRINCESS CHARLOTTE OP WALES LODGE , No . 570 I . C .

THE installation meeting of this Lodge , whioh is attached to the 5 th Regiment of Dragoon Guards , now stationed at the York Cavalry Barracks , was held afc the Masonio Hall , on Wednesday , the 9 th inst . Tbere was a large gathering of members and their friends , the Lodge being presided over by Brother J . A . Banks , in the

absence of Brother V . S . Cheeseman , on duty at Aldershot . The Lodge having been opened , and the minutes read and confirmed , the chair was assumed by Brother J . Todd P . M . Treasurer 236 ( in whose Hall the Lodge holds its meetings ); and the Worshipful Master elect , Brother Serjt .-Major W . Knights , was presented for installation by Bros . A . J . Banks and Captain Giffbrd . In due course a

Board of Installed Masters was opened , Bros . T . B . Whytehead P . M . P . G . S . W . acting as S . W ., and G . Kirby P . M . as J . W . ; and the W . M . having been invested and installed , was saluted . The following Officers were appointed : —Bros . Captain A . Baldrey S . W ., T . Howard J . W ., Captain Banks Treasurer and Secretary , Serjt .-Major Kendall S . D ., Serjt .-Major W . Langford J . D ., Serjt .-Major Saul I . G ., W . G .

Calvert Tyler . After the ceremony the members entertained thoir visitors at an excellent banquet , provided by Brother J . Toes , of the De Grey Rooms , the Worshipful Master presiding . The toasfc list was short and to tho point , and the evening was enlivened by a series of excellent songs by the members of the Military Lodge and their visitors , the pianoforte accompaniments being tastefully performed by Brother Garland , of York Minster .

Eboracum Lodge , No . 1611 . —An nnusnally large asseinblage of brethren attended tho regular meeting of this Lodge on Monday evening , the 14 th inst ., at York . Bro . J . Blenkin , tho W . M ., was supported by Bros . T . B . Whytehead P . M ., G . Balmford P . M ., J . T . Seller P . M ., M . Millington P . M ., G . Simpson P . M ., W . Knights W . M 570 ( I . C ) , as well as by between thirty and forty other

brethren . A successful ballot was taken for two candidates , after which Bro . Perciral Holmes was raised to the third degree . Bro . T . B . Whytehead presented to the Lodge library a copy of " Mackey ' s Lexicon , " and Bro . 3 . L . Mills , of the Cannongate Kilwinning Lodge , No . 2 ( S . C ) , was proposed as a joining member . A telegram was read from Sir J . C . Milner , Bart ., M . P ., Senior Warden , stating

that though the illness of Lady Miluer he was unable to leave home and occupy his place in the Lodge as he had intended . Brother Whytehead announced that he had received a letter from the Rev . H . R . Coleman , an eminent American Mason , who had heen making a Masonic Tour iu the Holy Land and the East , and who purposed

visumg York , and he hoped that it would be possible to make arrangements to give their travelling brother a Masonic reception . Affcor the close of the Lodge , the brethren met at refreshment , and a most pleasant evening was passed , the numerous visitors expressing their gratification at the warmth of feeling exhibited .

In future the meetings of the Prince Leopold Lodge of i Instruction will beheld afc the Printing Works , 202 White- j chapel Road , E ., on Monday evenings , at the hour of 7 p . m .

On Thursday , 10 th inst ., at fche Masonic Hall , in Albionplaoe , Bro . T . P . Payne , J . P ., was duly installed as W . M . of the Gloucester Lodge , by P . M . G . Dunlop , J . P . There

wa-a numerous representative gathering of local members of the Craft , and Bro . Payne subsequently entertained a large number of Masonic friends at dinner .

rehearsed , Bro . Catt personating the candidate . Lodge was then advanced to the third , and tho ceremony of raising was rehearsed , Bro . Penrose personating tho candidate . Lodge was closed to the first degree , and Bro . Banks elected W . M . for the firsfc Thursday in the ensuing month , after which Lodge was closed in duo form . Euphrates Lodge of Instruction , No . 212 . —Held at the Mother Red Cap , High-street , Camden Town , N . W ., Monday , 14 th instant . Bros . R . W . Galer W . M ., Halaey S . W ., Gittens J . W ., Shepherd J . D ., Boyden I . G ., aud P . M . Dean Preceptor . After preliminaries , Bro . Boyden offered himself as a candidate , the ceremony of passing was rehearsed . Lodgo was resumed to the firsfc degree .

Bro . Halsey was elected W . M . for tho ensuing week . This being the annnal meeting for the election of Officers , the W . M . read a letter from the Preceptor , Bro . J . D . Collier , tendering his resignation of thafc office , owing to extreme pressure of business . The resignation was accepted , with regret , Bro . Collier having occupied the position very ably for a considerable time . Bro . R . W . Galer , of the Highgate

Lodge , 1366 , was unanimously elected Preceptor , Bro . P . Recknall , of the mother Lodge , Treasurer , and Bro . Sheppard 1366 Secretary . Under the guidance of these Officers we trust this Lodge will have a prosperous year . Brethren residing in tho North-Western District aro cordially invited to attend . New Concord Lodge of Instruction , No . 813 . —The usual weekly meeting was held at Bro . Langdale's , Jolly Farmers ' Southgate-road , on Wednesday , 10 th instant , Bro . Trick presiding , supported by Bros . Galer S . W ., Thompson J . W ., P . M . Cusworth Preceptor , F , Perl Secretary , Ferrar S . D ., O'Donnell J . D ., Lone I . G . ; also Bros . Turner , Ookelford , P . M . Brain , and others . Lodge was duly

opened ; all preliminaries having been gone through , the W . M . proceeded to rehearse the initiation ceremony , Bro . Turnec acting as candidate . Before the Lodge was advanced to the second degree , this brother answered the necessary questions , but was nofc entrusted , be only being an E . A . The Lodge was opened to the third degree , and

Burgoyne Lodge of Instruction , No . 902 . —Held its usual weekly meeting at Bro . Austin ' s , Victoria Hotel , 25 Chartorhouso-streefc , E . C , on Wednesday , 16 th January . Present—Bros . Williams W . M ., Jefferys S . W ., Salter J . W ., CvossS . D ., Cooper J . D ., W . Bean I . G ., Frost P . M . Preceptor , and other brethren . Lodge was opened in due form , and the minutes were read and confirmed .

The ceremonies of initiation and passing were most ably rehearsed by the W . M . Bro . Jefferys P . M . 902 was unanimously elected W . M . for the ensuing Wednesday , 23 rd insfc ., when the ceremony of installation will be rehearsed . The Brethren of the Mother Lodge are earnestly requested to attend , and ifc is to be hoped thafc the Installing Maater will be well supported .

Ware candidate . Bro . Simons , a candidate

New i-inst-mry Park Lodge of Instruction , No . 1695 . —At the meeting bold on the 8 th inst ., at the Hornsey Wood Tavern . Bros . Morn ' s W . M ., Gush Preceptor , Fitch S . W ., Scott J . W ., Giller S . D ., Haynes J . D ., Berry Secretary , Aldis I . G . Lodge was opened iu due form , and the minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed . Lodge opened in second degree , and the first section

of the second lecture was worked by Bro . Fenner . The ceremony of passing was then rehearsed , Bro . Jenkins candidate . Tbe second and third sections of tho second lectnre were worked by Bros . Larchin and Fenner . Lodge resumed in the firsfc degree , and hearty good wishes having been voted to Bro . Williams W . M ., Jefferys S . W ., Salter J . W ., CvossS . D ., Cooper J . D ., W . Bean I . G ., Frost P . M . Preceptor , and other brethren . Lodge was opened in due form , and the minutes were read and confirmed .

The ceremonies of initiation and passing were most ably rehearsed by the W . M . Bro . Jefferys P . M . 902 was unanimously elected W . M . for the ensuing Wednesday , 23 rd insfc ., when the ceremony of installation will be rehearsed . The Brethren of the Mother Lodge are earnestly requested to attend , and ifc is to be hoped thafc the Installing Maater will be well supported .

Kingsland Lodge of Instruction , No . 1693 . —On Monday last , at Bro . Baker's , Cock Tavern , Highbury , N . Present—Bros . Western W . M ., Clark S . W ., Rhodes J . W ., Collingridge Sec , Collingridge S . D ., O'Donnell J . D ., Forge acting Preceptor , Turner I . G . ; and others . After preliminaries , the ceremony of initiation was rehearsed , Bro . Ware candidate . Bro . Simons , a candidate

for passing , answered the usual questions , and was entrusted . Lodge was opened in the second , and the ceremony of passing rehearsed . Bros . Turner and Simons answered questions leading to third degree . Bros . O'Donnell , Simons , and W . H . Read were elected members . Bro . Clark , S . W . Faith Lodge , No . 141 , was elected W . M . for Monday , 27 th insfc .

New i-inst-mry Park Lodge of Instruction , No . 1695 . —At the meeting bold on the 8 th inst ., at the Hornsey Wood Tavern . Bros . Morn ' s W . M ., Gush Preceptor , Fitch S . W ., Scott J . W ., Giller S . D ., Haynes J . D ., Berry Secretary , Aldis I . G . Lodge was opened iu due form , and the minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed . Lodge opened in second degree , and the first section

of the second lecture was worked by Bro . Fenner . The ceremony of passing was then rehearsed , Bro . Jenkins candidate . Tbe second and third sections of tho second lectnre were worked by Bros . Larchin and Fenner . Lodge resumed in the firsfc degree , and hearty good wishes having been voted to Bro . Morris , who was about to leave England for Australia , Lodge waa closed , and adjourned to Tuesday next .
