BE PUNCTUAL .
WORSHIPFUL Masters be punctual . If ^ your Lodge is summoned to meet at 6 * 30 , and dinner is to follow , be in your seat as the clock strikes half-past six . There is a good deal to get through , —minutes to be read , ballot to be takon , a degree to be given , and one hour and-a-half is not a bit too long in which to do the whole business comfortably . You may have counted upon getting through the work in a certain time , but you never can be

sure what extra business will crop up in the course of the evening . You may find that about five minutes to eight some matter will need a full discussion , which you had quite forgotten , and the inevitable Brother who loves the sound of his own voice so well , will be absolutely certain to get upon his feet at every opportunity ; he has nothing of importance to say , but he thinks it necessary to be
continually in evidence . For these reasons , as we said before , Worshipful Masters be punctual . Let it be clearly understood that 6 * 30 on the summons means 6 * 30 in the Lodge room , and you will find the attendance of the Brethren materially improve . A brother who habitually dines at 8 p . m . will think twice about going
to Lodge , if he feels morally sure that he will have to spend half or three-quarters of an hour before Lodge doing nothing , and that dinner will not be served till about 9 p . m . And if the Worshipful Master is punctual , the Brethren ought to bo punctual also . Let tho Officers especially all be in their places , so that the work may begin in time .
Worshipful Masters , if you start punctually , keep to the business before the Lodge , avoid aimless discussions , suppress the Lodge bore , and close the Lodge at dinner time , you will have a successful year of office . — " Indian Masonic Review . "

A Greeting to the Brethren of Peebles' Kilwinning Lodge . No . 24 .
How fare my Brothers of the Mystic Tie In bonny Peebles , hill-girt , winsome town ? Full oft I ' ve thought of them , ' mid Summer's sky—Full oft amid Old Winter ' s darksome frown . And now when Spring drives Wintry cares away .
Out goes my heart to Craftsmen good and true , To men who strive on each returning day To tint the earth with brighter , holier hue . Oh 1 Northern winds blow cold , but Northern hearts
Are staunch and trustful , and surpassing strong , Their warmth a sense of Faith and Strength imparts Like the glad mountains that they dwell among . Which to the soul lend such a God-like glow That Heaven itself seems reigning here below . Winder House , Bradford , 14 th March 1894 .
