THIS important series of Engravings after Sir Edwin Landseer , R . A ., were executed ( at the express wish of Her Majesty the Queen ) by Thomas Landseer , A . R . A ., Charles Mottram , George Zobel , W . H . Simmons , and J . B . Hunt , all of whom are now deceased , from pictures of Her Majesty ' s Pets , the majority of whioh hang at Osborne . _ The Artist Proofs each bear the stamp of the Printsellers' Association , vyhioh in itself is a perfect guarantee of their genuineness , also the initials of Sip Edwin Landseer , from his own signet ring . This edition is strictly limited to one hundred copies and numbered , and must necessarily become very valuable , not only by reason of its association with the life of ; Her Majesty , but also from the fact that each plate was engraved by hand , from originals by this greatest of animal painters .
