GRAND LODGE OF SCOTLAND .

A QUARTERLY communication was held in Edinburgh , on tho 7 th inst ., Sir Archibald Campbell , tho Grand Master of Scotland , presiding . It was reported from the Grand Committee that they hud authorised the renewal of Lodgo St . James , Peterhead , No . 250 . It was also reported

that a committee had had before them a petition by Lodge Aberdeen , No . 34 , to Lave its prcsont number on the roll altered , so as to represent its position and antiquity among tho Lodges . They found , ou consulting Grand Lodge

chartulavy , that tho precedency of tho Lodgo was granted as from December 1 G 70 , and they recommended Grand Lodgo to alter tho number of this Lodgo to No . IB . Grand Committee , according to tho wishes of the Lodges in tho

Province , recommended tho appointment of Bro . William Thomas Roid , of Ardmeallie , as Provincial Grand Master of Banffshire , in room of Bro . the Duke of Fife , resigned , and the Grand Lodge appointed him accordingly . It was

roported that the Provincial Grand Lodge of Invernessshiro had been now fully organised by tho recently appointed Provincial Grand Master , Bro . Sir Henry

C . Macandrow . Bro . Fisher , Paisley , proposed that Past Masters should be accepted as members of tho Grand Lodge ; but Bro , Hume , Kirkaldy , moved a direct negative , and that was carried by 164 against 48 ,

Bro . James Stevens P . M . P . Z . is arranging for the delivery of his lecture on tho Ritual and Ceremonial of Craft Masonry in tho Provinces of Norfolk and Suffolk during tho ensuing few weeks . He asks us to intimate

any account of Masonic Lodgo meetings , especially thoso of Scots Lodgo in Canongato , and Edinburgh Lodgo St . Androw , and where copies of said papers can bo seen ? Perhaps yon will algo allow ma to mention that as somo of tho minntea of thoso Lodges aro missing , any ono having samo or any relics or other Lodge property in their possession might kindly

present samo to Lodgo St . Audrew , No . 48 , by whom thoy will bo esteemed .
