ON Thursday , the 6 th inst ., tho members of this Lodge met for for the first time in their quarters , Vicar ' s Hall , IWells . For many years their meetings have been held in the Town Hall , but it has long been felt desirable , if opportunity offered and circumstances permitted , to have a hall of their own of a more permanent character , furnished and fitted in accordance with Masonio ritual . Negotiations

were opened with the Vioar s Choral a year or two ago with the view of securing their ball , which bad been for some time nnocoupied , but they were not successful . Since then correspondence has been re . opened on the subject by the Vicar ' s Choral , with the result that the Freemasons have become the lessees of the hall . For the last month

or two workmen have been engaged in repairing dilapidations , painting , decorating , and fitting up the hall , which has now been completed in a highly satisfactory manner by Mr . Gardner . Through the liberality of the W . M . and other brethren of the Lodge , the

furniture and fittings have been almost wholly renewed , and the room is in every respeot worthy of the Craft and creditable to the ' zeal and generosity of tbe members of the Benevolent Lodge . In commemoration of the auspicious occasion , the W . M . ( Bro . F . Brand George ) invited the brethren to dinner .
