The brethren then returned to the school-room , where , before the closing of the Provinoial Grand Lodge , the Provincial Grand Master Lord Henniker , in the name of the Province , gavo a very cordial welcome to Bro . Sir Charles Dalrymple , M . P ., the Graud Master Designate of Scotland . Hia Lordship went on to say how grieved he was that he was not able to attend the meeting of the

Grand Lodge at Felixstowe . He , however , had unfortunately Buttered more than once from influenza , and rather than run the risk of being again laid up he thought it better to obey the orders of his doctor . He wanted especially to be present in order to thank the brethren of the Province for the support he reoeived in connection with the Festival of the Royal Masonio Benevolent Institution . The amount

subscribed was exceedingly gratifying , and he could not help feeling that great oredit was due to Bro . Harvey for the exertions he made on that oocasion . The total colleotion amounted to over £ 67 , 000 , whioh was the largest sum ever subscribed to a Charitable Institution at a single meeting . Provinoial Grand Lodge was then closed , and the proceedings terminated .

Brentwood Lodge for tho excellent manner in which the Town Hall had been decorated , and for the capital arrangements made for their accommodation . An adjournment

was then made to the White Hart Hotel , where a bauquet was served by host Wild in his usual good style . The musical arrangements were under the direction of Bro . Sharfcan , of Westminster Abbey .
