up his mind that if the G . A . O . T . U . spared him , he would fill the position he now held . To-day was another red letter day in his career , and he trusted he should fulfil the duties creditably to himself and the Wilton Lodge . The W . M . in proposing the health of the I . P . M . Bro . Lloyd , said he was a good Mason , had made a good W . M ., and deserved all the eulogy they could bestow upon him , and

particularly the jewel whioh he ( the W . M . ) had now the pleasure of placing on his breast , aud which he trusted would be worn amongst the members for many years to come . The health of Bro . Lloyd was drank with enthusiasm , and in thanking tho W . M , for his kind remarks , and the brethren for their hearty reception of the toast , and the handsome jewel they had presented him with , he said he had

certainly done all in his power to further the interests of the Lodge , and to ensure harmony and unanimity amongst the brethren . No W . M . could possibly have had a better staff of Officers than he had , and he trusted they would rally round and support the present W . M . in the same w » y . Other toasts , proposed and responded to , were

the P . M . ' s , the Visitors , the Masonio Charities , and the Offioers . The proceedings between the toasts were enlivened with vocal and instrumental music , from members of the Minniehaha Minstrel Lodge , viz ., Seth Wrigley on the autoharp , Barlow and Sohofield on mandoline and guitar , and songs from Broa . CORINTHIAN LODGE , No , 1208 . THE monthly meeting was held at the hall , Snargate-street , Dover , on Monday , the 18 th ultimo , the W . M . Bro . Christopher Sims presiding . A member was raised , and there was also an initiation . Bro . W . B . Baker the S . W . was elected W . M . for the ensuing year . Bro . J . J . Wright P . M . was eleoted Treasurer , and L . Marsh Tyler . There were about forty of the brethren present .

MACDONALD LODGE , No . 1216 . A REGULAR meeting of this Lodge was held at the Surrey Masonio Hall , Camberwell-road , S . E ., on Thursday , 4 th inst ., when there were present Bros . White W . balloted for , accepted and initiated , the whole of the ceremonies being very ably performed by the W . M . A motion relating to tha necessity for recommendations to the Shooting Committee of tho corps in connection with the Lodge presentation cop and its accompanying annual money grant was introduced by Bro . Marshall , and

consequent on pressure for time , was adjourned for consideration at ensuing meeting . On the proposition of Bio . Major Bridges votes of condolence and sympathy were passed in reference to the recent death of the R . W . H . R . H . the Duke of Clarence and Avondala and

of the late Grand Secretary Bro . Shadwell H . Clerke , and the 38 were ordered to be entered on the minutes . Tho Lodge waa then closed in due form , and the brethren adjourned to supper , after which tho usual Loyal and Masonic toasts were honored and a pleasant hour or two passed in harmony and good fellowship .

David Mustard , the fathar of tho incoming W . M . It is a moBt extraordinary coincidence that last yeas the installation had to be put off for a similar period for an exactly similar reason , Mr . 11 . S .

Raffles ( the Stipendiary Magistrate of Liverpool ) , father of tho Rev . T . S . Raffles , the then W . M . elect , having ] died just a week before the day fixed for the installation . Directly the Lodge was opened tha W . M . ( Bro . the Rev . T . S . Luke to tho degree of Fellow Craft by the W . M . Prior to the Lodge closing the W . M . proposed a

vote of condolence to Bro . H . R . H . the Prince of Wales on the uutimely death of his eldest son Bro . H . R . H . the Duke of Clarence , and the Secretary was instructed to write a letter to H . R . H . to that effect . The W . M . announced his intention of acting as Steward at the forthcomiDg Festival of the Royal Miaouio Benevolent Institution ,

and solicited the support of the bretbrtn in aid of that Institution . Tho W . M . also unnouueed that the sale of tickets for the conceit to be given in aid of the Masonio Charities by the Minnehaha Minstrel Troupe waa goiDg on satisfactorily . The Lodge was closed at 8-20 .

Covent Garden Lodge of Instruction , No . 1614 . —At the Criterion , Piccadilly Circus , S . W ., ou the 11 th instant , when there were present Bros . Rowe W . M ., Jones S . W ., Burgess J . W ., Foan Assistant Preceptor , G . Reynolds Treasurer and Secretary , Jarvis S . D ., Keen J . D ., Cuffanti I . G ., Weeks Tyler , Kirk , Sherwood , Bromley , Wise , Dukas , and G . H . Reynolds . Lodge was opened in
