The musical after proceedings wero of a highly enjoyable and excellent character . Bro . Round jun . was a most efficient accompanist . Signor Abramoff especially delighted the brethren present by his vocal contributions .

rTiLlE installation meeting of the above Lodge was held afc Ladbroke X Hall , on Saturday , the 20 th ult ., a perfect galaxy of Masonic brethren congregating , the matter of a testimonial to be presented to Bro . Geo . Read , the Secretary of the Lodge , being doubtless the attraction of the evening . After the routine business bad been satisfactorily arranged , the W . The brethren then adjourned to tbe banqueting room , where justice was done to the

good things provided by Mrs . Linscott . The usual toasts were given from tho chair and responded to , that of the Visitors being replied to by Bros . Murlis , Roberts ( W . M . elect Earl of Carnarvon Lodge ) , Dr . Pocock , Goffin , Parkhouse , and Sraythe ; Bros . Lemon aud Cama responded on behalf of the Pasfc Masters present , and Bros . Norman , Taylor , and Williams on behalf of the Officers of the Lodge . On the

health of the Secretary , Bro . Geo . Read , being proposed , tho Immediate Pasfc Master , Bro . Norman , in a feeling speech , had the greatest pleasure in presenting the testimonial tbey saw before them to his honoured friend and worker , who they all knew was generous without a fault , keen and even of temper , a thorough Mason and

Christian , a friend to the widow and orphan , and on whose kindly sympathy they could afc all times rely . He was glad of this opportunity of assuring him of the united good feeling of the Lodge towards him , shared , as it was , by the youngest to tho oldest brother . The testimonial consisted of a handsome escretoire in

American walnut , chair to match , solid brass inkstand , and a framed illuminated inscription on vellum , whioh reads as follows : — Ba . o . GEOUGE READ P . M . P . Z . The Brethren of the Kensington Lodge , No . 1767 , desire to express their appreciation of the many valuable services you have rendered to the Lodge , as Founder , Master and Secretary . The

success and good fellowship of the Lodge is due in no small degree to your untiring energy and business capacity . Your sterling merits as a man and a Mason endear you to us all , and we earnestly hope that ; fche Great Architect of the Universe may grant you long life and shower innumerable blessings upon you . Signed on behalf of the Lodge .

Bro . Read , who evidently was labouring under great emotion , in thanking the brethren for their handsome present , mentioned that he had had the pleasure of being connected with the Lodge for the past 14 or 15 years , and as he was Secretary to two other Lodges , and had a deal of correspondence to transact , the form tho presentation took was opportune . They had from the first been a united band ,

and he trusted they always would remain so . Bro . Barker , as Treasurer , responded to the toast on his behalf , remarking that he would be as careful as heretofore with the Lodge money . The toasfc of the Officers of the Lodge having been responded to by Bros . Norman , Taylor , and Williams , tho Tyler ' s toasfc concluded a very pleasant social evening .

The musical brethren included Bros . Abramoff , Batty , Cantor , Nicholls , Hogginbotham , Busfield , Williams , Sweetman , Workman , Lewis and Fargher . Subsequently tho brethren

partook of the annual installation banquet , admirably served under the direction of Bro . W . S . Vines P . P . G . D . C . P . M . 220 . The musical after proceedings wero of a highly enjoyable and excellent character . Bro . Round jun . was a most efficient accompanist . Signor Abramoff especially delighted the brethren present by his vocal contributions .

rTiLlE installation meeting of the above Lodge was held afc Ladbroke X Hall , on Saturday , the 20 th ult ., a perfect galaxy of Masonic brethren congregating , the matter of a testimonial to be presented to Bro . Geo . Read , the Secretary of the Lodge , being doubtless the attraction of the evening . After the routine business bad been satisfactorily arranged , the W . The brethren then adjourned to tbe banqueting room , where justice was done to the

good things provided by Mrs . Linscott . The usual toasts were given from tho chair and responded to , that of the Visitors being replied to by Bros . Murlis , Roberts ( W . M . elect Earl of Carnarvon Lodge ) , Dr . Pocock , Goffin , Parkhouse , and Sraythe ; Bros . Lemon aud Cama responded on behalf of the Pasfc Masters present , and Bros . Norman , Taylor , and Williams on behalf of the Officers of the Lodge . On the

health of the Secretary , Bro . Geo . Read , being proposed , tho Immediate Pasfc Master , Bro . Norman , in a feeling speech , had the greatest pleasure in presenting the testimonial tbey saw before them to his honoured friend and worker , who they all knew was generous without a fault , keen and even of temper , a thorough Mason and

Christian , a friend to the widow and orphan , and on whose kindly sympathy they could afc all times rely . He was glad of this opportunity of assuring him of the united good feeling of the Lodge towards him , shared , as it was , by the youngest to tho oldest brother . The testimonial consisted of a handsome escretoire in

American walnut , chair to match , solid brass inkstand , and a framed illuminated inscription on vellum , whioh reads as follows : — Ba . o . GEOUGE READ P . M . P . Z . The Brethren of the Kensington Lodge , No . 1767 , desire to express their appreciation of the many valuable services you have rendered to the Lodge , as Founder , Master and Secretary . The

success and good fellowship of the Lodge is due in no small degree to your untiring energy and business capacity . Your sterling merits as a man and a Mason endear you to us all , and we earnestly hope that ; fche Great Architect of the Universe may grant you long life and shower innumerable blessings upon you . Bro . Read , who evidently was labouring under great emotion , in thanking the brethren for their handsome present , mentioned that he had had the pleasure of being connected with the Lodge for the past 14 or 15 years , and as he was Secretary to two other Lodges , and had a deal of correspondence to transact , the form tho presentation took was opportune . They had from the first been a united band ,

and he trusted they always would remain so . Bro . Barker , as Treasurer , responded to the toast on his behalf , remarking that he would be as careful as heretofore with the Lodge money . The toasfc of the Officers of the Lodge having been responded to by Bros . Norman , Taylor , and Williams , tho Tyler ' s toasfc concluded a very pleasant social evening .
