York Lodge , No . 236 . —The annual meeting of this Lodge , for the election of W . M . and Treas . for the ensuing year , took place on Monday . There was a full attendance of members , and the unanimons suffrages of tho Lodgo fell npon Bro . tho Rev . Wm . Valentine . W . Cowling P . M . was unanimously elected Treasurer , an office which he had held for many years , until last year , when ho was elected to fill the chair of the Lodge in its Centenary year . Bro . J . Eedfaro was re-elected Tyler .

The London Masonic Club . —Tho members of the Lodgo of Instruction held their iirst dinner on Thursday , 29 th November , at 101 Queen Victoria-street , E . C . Present—Bro . Hogg and Shand , given in conjunction with Success and Prosperity to tho Lodge of Instruction , was drunk with enthusiasm . Tho brethren separated about eleven , after a very pleasant and social ovenincr .

After the minutes of the Consecration had been confirmed , Bros . Georgo Langridge , Jno . Frederick Bates , and Christopher W . Holt , were duly and severally exalted to the degree of E . A . M . Comp . Stephens gavo tho historical and symbolical lectures , and tho Rev . J . Robinson the mystical . Rules for tho government of tho Chapter

wero read and approved . A vote of thanks was then accorded to Comp . Stephens for presenting a handsome copy of tho volume of the Sacred Law . read and confirmed . Tho first , second and third sections wero worked by Bro . Rndderforth , assisted by the brethren . The AV . M . rehearsed tho ceremony of initiation , Bro . Parsons being candidate . Bro . Kidman was elected AV . M . for the ensuing week . A vote of thanks was recorded on the minutes to Bro . Cleghorn for the able

manner in which ho had presided in the Lodge for the first time . Bro . Eudderforth proposed , and Bro . Brann seconded , and it was carried unanimously that this Lodgo should subscribe the sum of ono guiner for tho purchase of a book of tickets in Bro . Morgan jnn .
