OXINE . —A distinct advance has been made in the preparation of a meat extract combined with the best and freshest vegetables , so prepared that all the tannin and indigestible fibre of the vegetables are excluded , resulting in a product containing all the stimulating qualities derived from Extactives of Beef , and at the same time really possessing the various physiological constituents essential in a food of the highest nutritive value , extremely palatable , and easy of digestion . The celebrated Baron Liebig , the pioneer
manufacturer of Extracts of Beef , was fully alive to the importance of such a combination , and often stated that if he could satisfactorily combine vegetable products with his Extract in such a way that it would contain the proper proportions of the Proteids , Albumeniods , and Carbo-Hydrates , which are necessary to constitute an evenly-balanced and highly-nutritive food , his production would be perfect . This is exactly what the manufacturers of
" Oxine " have succeeded iu doing , after some years devoted to the subject , and , with the assistance and advice of some of the best and most highlyskilled Scientists of the day , the most perfect and delicious form of concentrated nourishment ever produced is the result . We have had tho opportunity of tasting " Oxine , " have found it exceedingly invigorating and refreshing , and have no hesitation in recommending it to our readers , who will find it of use in numberless ways .
