Petitions for charters of confirmation , the originals being lost , were granted to the Chapter of Faith , No . 321 , Crewe , and tho Tynte Chapter , No . 379 , Bath ; and the removal of the Ezra Chapter , No . 1489 , from the Ball ' s Pond Road to the Cock Tavern , Highbury ,

was sanctioned . The members of the General Purposes Committee , nominated by H . R . H . the Prince of Wales are Comps . Robert Grey ( President ) , Edward Letch worth

ustify me in calling the animal meeting earlier than nsual , viz ., in April instead of May , afford ing ns au opportunity for developing onr loyalty to onr supremo Grand Master and tho patrons of this exalted degree . Meeting under the banners of tho four Leeds Chapters , in the centre of onr Province , doubtless will give

earnestness and vigour to our proceedings in carrying out tho resolutions of tho Jubilee policy inaugurated by our Charity Committee , aud adopted by Provincial Graud Lodgo . Before touching upon the matters on the agenda , calling forth our sentiment of " Loyalty aud Charity , " let us give expression to our obligations to the four Leeds

Chapters for tho reception and arrangements for meeting of Prov . Grand Chapter in this beautifnl hall . Since our meeting in Leeds , 24 th May 1881 , Chapter Excelsior , No . 1042 , has beou consecrated , nnd I am happy to believe tho 150 Companions on tho roll seem to be gradually absorbing the . Past Masters aud Brethren of the eight

Leeds Lodges . When I addressed you in Wakefield , last November , I ventured to ask suggestions for some desirable method of commemorating the Jubilee of Her Most Gracious Majesty the Queen , aud it was decided to leave tho matter iu tho hands of the Charity Committee , from which a suggestion was made to and adopted by

Provincial Grand Lodge on 30 ch March last ; thab a sum of £ 2 , 100 be raised in this Province to purchase two permanent Presentations to the Widows' Fund of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution , to

be named tho " Queen Victoria Jubilee Presentations , " and the following circular was issued to every member of the Craft in this Province : — St . John ' s , Wakefield , 13 th April 1887 .

Dear Sir and Brother , —In accordance with the above resolution your hearty co-operation is earnestly solicited . Wo wish to impress upon vou tho desirability of giving every memb : r of your Lodge an

opportunity of contributing . Will you , therefore , kindly bring the subject before your brethreu at your next meeting ? A small Committee would materially assist you and your Charity member in making a speedy aud complete canvass of your brethren .

with Nottingham . For tho Elections for Annuitants , on 20 th May , I am sorry to say we htivo five candidates , one Male and four Widows , of tl-. e latter there aro in all 77 candidates aud only 25 vacancies ; so that with our moat sanguine expectations , wo can only hopo for two to bo siitvossful , aud if the two remaining are to eujoy the

comfort and blessitigs of an annuity , it will require all your sympathy and exei tlms lo raise tho sum necessary to secure the two Presentations . The second notice of motion refers to a proposal emanating from II . il . LI . the Prince of Wales , and it appeals to our loyalty . You aro aware ou . '' th January tho Pro Grand Z . tho

Earl of Carnarvon , addressed a circular to all English Lodges , relative to tho celebration of the Jubilee of Her Majesty , and announced that a great macting of Freeinnsr-ns weald bo held in Loudon , under the presidency of the . I . W . Grand Master , wheu au Address of Congratulation to Hor Majesty would be adopted . He

also MUt : rgesned that iu order specially to show our devotion to , and respect fur II . R . H . the Prince of Wales , every ono should havo an opportunity of joining iu a small subscription in aid of the fund for the establishment , of the Imperial Institute ofthe United Kingdom , the Colonies , and India , —the National Memorial of the Queen ' s

Jubilee , —with whom it originated . Meeting under the banners of tho four Leeds Chapters , in the centre of onr Province , doubtless will give

earnestness and vigour to our proceedings in carrying out tho resolutions of tho Jubilee policy inaugurated by our Charity Committee , aud adopted by Provincial Graud Lodgo . Before touching upon the matters on the agenda , calling forth our sentiment of " Loyalty aud Charity , " let us give expression to our obligations to the four Leeds

Chapters for tho reception and arrangements for meeting of Prov . Grand Chapter in this beautifnl hall . Since our meeting in Leeds , 24 th May 1881 , Chapter Excelsior , No . 1042 , has beou consecrated , nnd I am happy to believe tho 150 Companions on tho roll seem to be gradually absorbing the . Past Masters aud Brethren of the eight

Leeds Lodges . When I addressed you in Wakefield , last November , I ventured to ask suggestions for some desirable method of commemorating the Jubilee of Her Most Gracious Majesty the Queen , aud it was decided to leave tho matter iu tho hands of the Charity Committee , from which a suggestion was made to and adopted by

Provincial Grand Lodge on 30 ch March last ; thab a sum of £ 2 , 100 be raised in this Province to purchase two permanent Presentations to the Widows' Fund of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution , to

be named tho " Queen Victoria Jubilee Presentations , " and the following circular was issued to every member of the Craft in this Province : — St . John ' s , Wakefield , 13 th April 1887 .

Dear Sir and Brother , —In accordance with the above resolution your hearty co-operation is earnestly solicited . Wo wish to impress upon vou tho desirability of giving every memb : r of your Lodge an
