The ceremony of initiation was

was raised to the third degree by the W . M ., who was ably assisted by the Officers . The Lodge was then closed , and the brethren safe down to an excellent banquet and . dessert , provided by Bro . A . Besfe , and superintended by Bro . E . Dawkins . Grace having been said , the W . M . proposed tho usnal Loyal and Masonic toasts ; he spoke of the grand reception given by the Right Hon . the Lord Mayor , Junior

Grand Warden , to the Most Worshipful Grand Master . This was an event in Freemasonry rarely met with—an event that never will bo forgotten . With the toast of the Pro Grand Master , the Depnty Grand Master , and tho rest of the Grand Officers , was coupled tho name of Bro . E . P . Albert P . G . P ., who they were all pleased to see among them . This toast was eloquently responded to by Bro . Albert . Bro .

Leggott I . P . M . proposed the health of the W . M . ; he might , with justice , say they had rarely seen better working . On the night of his installation Bro . Lister was labouring under indisposition , but they had seen his capability for work that evening . The W . M ., on rising , was received with acclamation ; he said the expressions of Bro . Leggott , and the reception given by the brethren to the toast , had

almost overpowered him . His aim was to advance the interests of the Lodge ; he was pleased he had had an opportunity of working the third degree . While in occupancy of the chair the more initiates they had the better he wonld be pleased to receive them . The W . M . then proposed the health of Bro . Weiss , who was initiated in this Lodge , and had been raised that evening . From the attention

he had paid to the ceremony , the W . M . was sure he would become a credit to the Order . Bro . Weiss having responded , the toast of tho Visitors was given . Bros . E . P . Albert P . G . P ., H . M . Levy , Tribbel , and Trironell severally responded . The W . M . then proposed tho toast of the Past Masters . Ifc was always a pleasure to see brethren

like Bros . Leggott , T . Bull , Haslett , and G . States ; the latter was now the oldest member of the Lodge . He regretted the absence of Bro . Thiellay , which absence was occasioned by an accident . The toast having been ably responded to , the W . M . then proposed that of the Wardens and Officers , and after this compliment had been acknowledged , the Tyler gave the parting toast .

Albert P . G . P . Sec , J . Benjamin S . D ., N . Banm I . G ., Davis D . C , Bean and Botibol Stewards , P . E . Van Noorden Organist ; P . M . ' s L . Alexander , L . Lazarns , S . Hickman , H . M . Levy . After preliminaries , a ballot was taken for the admission of Mr . H . Phillips ( son of Bro . L . H .

Phillips , C . C ) , which was unanimously in his favour ; he was duly initiated into the Order . Bro . Howard was raised to the 3 rd degree . Ballots were taken for the admission of Bros . H . Wright and I . Botibol as joining members , which were unanimously in their favour . A telegram was received from the J . W . Bro . L . M . Myers , regretting his absence . Two distressed brethren were relieved with small sums . Lodge was then closed , and the brethren adjonrned for light refreshments , where the W . M . very ably presided .

was raised to the third degree by the W . M ., who was ably assisted by the Officers . The Lodge was then closed , and the brethren safe down to an excellent banquet and . dessert , provided by Bro . A . Besfe , and superintended by Bro . E . Dawkins . Grace having been said , the W . M . proposed tho usnal Loyal and Masonic toasts ; he spoke of the grand reception given by the Right Hon . the Lord Mayor , Junior

Grand Warden , to the Most Worshipful Grand Master . This was an event in Freemasonry rarely met with—an event that never will bo forgotten . With the toast of the Pro Grand Master , the Depnty Grand Master , and tho rest of the Grand Officers , was coupled tho name of Bro . E . P . Albert P . G . P ., who they were all pleased to see among them . This toast was eloquently responded to by Bro . Albert . Bro .

Leggott I . P . M . proposed the health of the W . M . ; he might , with justice , say they had rarely seen better working . On the night of his installation Bro . Lister was labouring under indisposition , but they had seen his capability for work that evening . The W . M ., on rising , was received with acclamation ; he said the expressions of Bro . Leggott , and the reception given by the brethren to the toast , had

almost overpowered him . His aim was to advance the interests of the Lodge ; he was pleased he had had an opportunity of working the third degree . While in occupancy of the chair the more initiates they had the better he wonld be pleased to receive them . The W . M . then proposed the health of Bro . Weiss , who was initiated in this Lodge , and had been raised that evening . From the attention

he had paid to the ceremony , the W . M . was sure he would become a credit to the Order . Bro . Weiss having responded , the toast of tho Visitors was given . Bros . E . P . Albert P . G . P ., H . M . Levy , Tribbel , and Trironell severally responded . The W . M . then proposed tho toast of the Past Masters . Ifc was always a pleasure to see brethren

like Bros . Leggott , T . Bull , Haslett , and G . States ; the latter was now the oldest member of the Lodge . He regretted the absence of Bro . Thiellay , which absence was occasioned by an accident . The toast having been ably responded to , the W . M . then proposed that of the Wardens and Officers , and after this compliment had been acknowledged , the Tyler gave the parting toast .

M . Levy . After preliminaries , a ballot was taken for the admission of Mr . H . Phillips ( son of Bro . L . H .

Phillips , C . C ) , which was unanimously in his favour ; he was duly initiated into the Order . Bro . Howard was raised to the 3 rd degree . Ballots were taken for the admission of Bros . H . Wright and I . Botibol as joining members , which were unanimously in their favour . A telegram was received from the J . W . Bro . L . M . Myers , regretting his absence . Two distressed brethren were relieved with small sums . Lodge was then closed , and the brethren adjonrned for light refreshments , where the W . M . very ably presided .
