Forge , Hallam , Eldridge , Yeotnans , Greenwood , Shackell , Byng , Johnson , and Quay . After all formalities had been observ d , the

Thomas Hunt , of tho Bengal Ordnance Department , was regularly initiated into the lites and privileges of ancient Freemasonry . Bro . Waldron was passed to the second degree with the usual formalities . Tho acting W . M . informed the brethren of the circumstances under which it had become necessary to bring the question of removal from the Sir

Robert Peel before the Lodge , and left the matter to the decision of the members . A disenssiou ensued , in the course of which Bros . Weston , McClelland , Kennedy and Watkins took part , when it was ultimately decided to remove the Lodge furniture and regalia to the Lord Raglan , the necessary authority being obtained from Grand Lodge for snch removal . Doubts were expressed as to the capability of the Hall at tho Lord Raglan for the accommodation of the Lod ge , there being over 140 members on its books .

Friars Lodge of Instruction , No . 1349 . —Held at Bro . Pavitt ' s , Liverpool Arms , Canning Town , on Tuesday , 2 nd Sept . Present : —Bro . Pavitt W . M ., Smith S . W ., Johnson J . W ., Shepherd W . M . 1349 S . D ., M'Donald J . D ., Wovsley I . G . and Secretary , P . M . Mnsto Preceptor . There wero also present Bros . Kcable , Moss , Rawe , Richardson , Barker , Roddam 212 , Watkins , Andrews , Sadley ,

Roberts , White , and P . M . Myers . Tho Lodge was opened in due form with prayer , and tho minutes of the last meeting wero read and confirmed . The ceremony cf initiation was beautifully rehearsed by the W . M ., Bro . Rawe as the candidate ; the Deaconship of Bro . M'Donald was very perfect ; he is one of the best workers we ever met . Bro . Andrews worked the first section of tho lecture , Bro .

M'Donald the second and third , assisted by tho brethren . Bro . Roddam of Euphrates Lodgo 212 was unanimously elected a member . Bro . J . W , Smith S . D . 8 G 0 was elected W . M . for tho ensuing meeting , and appointed his Officers in rotation . Tho Lodgo then closed in due form and adjourned . The remainder of the evening was spent in discussing the summer outing for Thursday , tho 4 th , receiving the names of those who intimated their intention to attend .
