A committee of fonr members was elected to serve for the year , and Brother T . J . Richardson J . W . 60 said it was tbe wish of the members of the Cumberland Lodge that the next annual meeting be held at Carlisle . The Past

Provincial Grand Officers for 1891 were presented with their grand certificates . Ten guineas were , by an unanimous vote , given to the Cumberland and Westmoreland Educational Fund , and ten guineas were voted to the Grand Mark Benevolent Fund . The brethren were then formed

m order of procession by the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies ( Brother George Starkey ) , and , headed by the Volunteer Brass Band , they marched to the Parish Church , where a sermon waa preached by Brother Rev . James Anderson Provincial Grand Chaplain . A banquet was afterwards held at fche Red Lion Hotel .

CHARITY LODGE , No . 76 . THE annual convocation was held on the 28 th ult ., at the Freemasons' Hall , Plymouth . The W . M . elect , Bro . J . W . Cornish , was installed . Bro . Captain G . S . NOTICES OF MEETINGS .

RELIEF LODGE , No . 42 .

THE members and their wives , sweethearts , & c , of this Lodge recently held their sixth annual pionio . The party started from the Bolton Street station at 7 * 20 a . m . for Salford , and thence to London Road , Manchester , en route for Stoke and Newcastle-nnder-Lyme , Staffordshire , where breakfast was awaiting them at tbe Borough Arms Hotel . After breakfast the party proceeded in

wagonettes to Keele Park ( the seat of Mr . R . Sneyd ) , where tbey were shown through the grounds and gardens , whioh were seen to great advantage . ' The party then proceeded through Billington Park on to Trentham Park ( the seat of the Duke of Sutherland ) . After spending an hour or two in the grounds , the party returned to the wagonettes and drove to Stoke , where they were shown through Minton ' a Pottery Works , and the manufacturing process waa

thoroughly explained to them . The party then returned to tbe Borough Arms Hotel , Newcastle , for tea , and proceeded on their homeward journey , leaving Newcastle at 7 * 5 p . m .. and Stoke ( by tbe London and North Western Manchester express ) at 7 * 17 , arriving at London Road Station at 8 * 15 p . m . The party were timed to arrive at Bury at 10 o ' clock , and good time having been kept daring the whole of tho day , a most enjoyable trip waa thus brought to a olose .

ST . JOHN'S LODGE , No . 191 .

FT 1 HE brethren of this Lodge , had a very enjoyable picnic on Wednes-J . day , the 20 th nit ., to Lancaster , Morecambe , and Silverdalo , and tbe party , which included several brethren from other Lodges and friends , left Koowaley Street Station in two saloon carriages at 6 * 32 , and arrived at Lancaster shortly after nine . They sat down at 0 * 20 to a substantial breakfast at the King ' s Arms , aud the party then proceeded in conveyences to Morecambe , where thoy stayed half-auiwur . Afterwards they proceeded to Stlvordale , where they hud

luncheon at the Silvordnle Hotel . After an hour ' s stay thoy loft for Lancaster , arriving there a little after live , and sat down to a ( irst-claes dinner , served iu best fotm , dnring whioh a band , engaged by the owner , played . Previons to leaving Lancaster by the 7 * 21 train , some of the party visited the beautiful Williamson ' s Park , while

others strolled round tho town . The party arrived at Bnry at 9 * 10 p . m . The outing was thoroughly enjoyed , the weather being all that conld be desired . The heavy rain on the previous day made the roads practically free from dust , at the same time brightening the lovely foliage on the route through which the party drove .

82-AT the Masonic Hall , Hope Street , Liverpool , in tho presence of a large number of brethren , Bro . Edwin Kite waa , on Wednea . day , the 20 th ult ., installed as Worshipfnl Master . The ceremony of installation was moat efficiently performed by Bro . John Mantle , the retiring Master , his successor to the chair being presented bv Bros . J . J . Boyle P . M . Treasurer and J . PRINCE ARTHUR LODGE , No . 1570

ON the 27 th ult ., tbe members held their annual outing , when , to the number of 30—although considerably more were expected —they travelled by special train to Mold , whioh was reached about 11 o ' clock . They made tbe Black Lion Hotel their headquarters , and having partaken of light refreshments , they were at 1 * 30 conveyed by road to Ruthin , in vehicles supplied by Mr . William Wright , of

the Boar ' s Head Livery Stables . The weather proved gloriously fine , and the drive was consequently muoh enjoyed , and upon their return to Mold the brethren and their friends , nothing loth , sat down

to an excellent tea at the Black Lion Hotel , the catering of Mr . and Mrs . P . Maddox being highly praised . Shortly after 8 * 45 the special conveying the trippers steamed out of Mold Station , and thus ended what was unanimously voted a most delightful day .

DEE LODGE , No . 1576

ON Tuesday , 12 th ult ., in the large iron room nt Mostyn House , Pnrkgate , Bro . George Forester was installed Worshipful Master of this Lodge . Tho visiting brethren included Bros . James Salmon , Richard Newbouse , J . Pennington , Jones , W . Ritson , T . Litherland W . M ., H . Ellis . The ceremony was performed by Bro . J . W . Shaw , the retiring W . M . The following were invested

The musical portion of the ceremony was rendered by the Combermere Glee Party , from Birkenhead . Bro . G . F . Bird was elected Charity Steward for the ensning year .

OGMORE LODGE . No . 1752

ON Monday , 2 oth ult ., the new ball built at Bridgend , by the members of the Ogmore Lodge , was formally opened , when there was a large attendance of the fraternity . The ball ia situate in Adare Street , and is a striking architectural addition to the main buildings of the town . It was designed by Mr . G . F . Lambert , architect , Bridgend , and built by Mr . Wm . Francis of the same town ,

at a cost of £ l , loO , including extras . The building has a front of whito brick , and is freely treated with Bath and local stone . The npper rooms , consisting of spacious hall , reception and ante-room , offices , & c , are specially laid out for Masonic use , and on the exterior front , emblems of the Order are displayed . Ou tbe basement are

three suites of offices , all well lighted and roomy . There are two entrances , the main one leading to a flight of stairs by which tbe Masonic Hall is reached ; the side entrance leads to offices on tbe grond floor . The Masonio Hall is lighted from the coved ceiling , and it is fitted up specially for the purpose for which it is

dedicated . The opening of the hall was fixed for installation day , or annual meeting of tho brethren , when the newly-elected Master is duly installed in office for tbe ensuing twelve months , or until his successor has been appointed aud installed in his stead The choice of the brethren this year fell upon Bro . David McClellan ,

the Senior Warden of the past year , and from the interest he ban taken in the welfare of tho Lodge for some years past , there is every reason to believe that hia year of office will be a successful one . Tho Lodge was opened at three o ' clock , iu tbe preaenco of a large

gathering of members and visitors , by the retiring Master , Bro . E . T . David . After some preliminaries the ceremony of installation waa proceeded with , the onerous duties of Installing Master being ably performed by Bro . T . li . Boucher , a P . M . of tho Lodge .
