Reports Of Meetings.
Comps . Sinclair and Taylor were elected as Auditors . Comp . J . D . Clayton was elected a Country Member . On th-j motion of Comp . Folkard P . Z ., seconded by Comp . Wyer , a P . Z . ' s jewel was voted to Comp . Harvey for his valuable and esteemed services to the Chapter .
As the Chapter was adjourning a telegram was received from Comp . J . Rafferty , whose ship had reached Liverpool . For the first time since his exaltation Comp . Rafferty was in England on a meeting night , but was unable to manage to get to London . All business being ended the Companions dined together under the presidency of the M . E . Z ., who proposed the usual Loyal and Arch toasts , which were enthusiastically received .
The harmony of the evening was increased by songs and recitations given by Comps . Wyer , Smith , Sinclair , Morris , Woods , Fitch , Barton , Bonner , and Taylor .
There is no better or truer Masonry to be found than in Dublin , Ireland , and this purity is due to the method of admitting candidates in that city . After a name has been submitted to a Lodge within the Dublin jurisdiction , it is sent , accompanied by the examining committee's report , to the Board of Masters . This Board meets once a month , and consists of
the Master of every Dublin Lodge . The candidate s name is there brought forward , and his antecedents fully discussed . The Master of the Lodge in which it is proposed to initiate him is present . The good of Masonry is the object aimed at by all . There is no over anxiety on the subject of initiation fees . In fact , the candidate is approved or rejected strictly on his merits . —Exchange .
