THIS Masonic Archaeological Body , meeting under the authority of the High Council of England , held its annual gathering at York , on Saturday , 26 th ult . The Ch . Adept Fra . T . B . introduced and admitted to the grade of Zelator : —Bros . J . J . Wilkes ( Darlington ) , J . Todd P . M . ( York ) , W . Bakewell ( Leeds ) , and A . M . Broadley ( Tunis ) . At the conclusion of the ceremonial , the Ch . Adep t addressed the frafcres , reviewing the work of tho College since its commencement , and indicating its work for the future . He especially dwelt on the delight , as well as the necessity for

Masonic investigation , and showed the advantages to be gained from the examination of old minutes and other Masonio memoranda which were too often permitted to be neglected and unsearched . He alluded to the admission thafc day of Fra . Broadley , who was exactly the kind of Mason they desired to enrol , and mentioned that it was Fra . Broadley's desire to open a college at Tunis

on the ruins of ancient Carthage . The report of the Auditors having been adopted , Fra . Broadley was requested by the Ch . Adept to read some notes he had prepared on the Carthaginian remains , and the symbolic marks of the Phoenician builders . This he did in a most interesting manner , and the paper was ordered to be printed at tbe request of the fratres . The election of officers for the year then

The Acolyte was re-elected , and it was resolved to hold

the next meeting on some Wednesday in May . Two candidates were proposed ; a number of letters of apology were read from absent members , and the M . C . was dissolved . During the earlier portion of the day the Ch . Adept and some of tho Fratres inspected the parchment constitutions , minute books , & o ., of the Grand Lodge of All England at York , Bro . J . Todd , Treasurer of the York Lodge , having kindly had the Masonio Hall opened for the purpose .

Kings Cross Lodge of Instruction , No . 1732 . —On the 27 th ultimo , at Bro . Deviue ' s , Bine Posts , Charlotte-street , Fitzroysquare . Bros . L . Solomons W . M ., J . Edwards S . W ., F . Silvester J . W ., Birrell S . D ., F . Guyer J . D ., Devine Treasurer , L . Jacobs as Secretary , B . Kanffmann I . G ., J . Hemming Preceptor , and thirtyone brethren . The first section of the first lecture was worked . The

ceremony of initiation was ably rehearsed by the W . M ., Bro . Douglass acting as candidate . The fourth section was then worked . Bro . Burgess practised the formula of investing officers . Bro .
