During the evening a letter of condolence was forwarded to Bro . Blarney , he being absent through a sad domestic affliction , and a telegram was sent

to Bro . Warburton to this effect : — " W . M . and Brethren sympathise with you and send you greetings . " A telegram was also forwarded to the Wor * hipful Master of the Townley Parker Lodge , No . 1083 , as follows : — "W . M . and Brethren reciprocate your kind wishes , and wish you every happiness . " The toast of the Provincial Grand Officers was responded to by Bros . Walter Alcock P . M . 1012 Prov . Gr . Treasurer , and H . Gordon Small P . M . 2368 P . P . S . G . W . Cheshire . The latter tendered his hearty thanks for the

kind reception of the toast , whilst the former , in the course of some interesting remarks , referred to Bro . Gol . Starkie Prov . Gr . Master in terms of eulogy , and added that all the Brethren of that and neighbouring Provinces valued him , not only for the active interest he took in the Craft , but also for his good works in other directions . Of Bro . Capt . Beswioke-Boyds Dep . Prov . Gr .

Master he also spoke very highly , and sincerely hoped that the various criticisms he was called upon to make from time to time would not only justify him in his position as a hard working Officer , but would elevate him in the minds of the Brethren . With respect to the other Provincial Officers , he said they had only one aim in view , and that to make themselves agreeable to all .
