ON Friday , in the House of Lords , an interesting conversation on the subject of training naval cadets , in which the Earls of Camperdown , Shaftesbury , and Lauderdale , the Dnke of Somerset , Lord Hampton , and others

took part , was followed by a debate on the second reading of the Ecclesiastical Fees Redistribution Bill , to which the House ultimately agreed . Soon after , an adjournment took place till Monday , " when the Endowed Schools Act ( 1868 ) Continuance Bill was read a third time . The Duke . of

Richmond then moved the second reading of the Public Health Bill , a proposition to which , after a brief discussion , their Lordships assented . Lord Waveney having asked a question relating to the Militia , and the Earl of Cadogan

having replied , the House soon after rose . There was only a brief sitting on Tuesday . On Thursday , the Pollution of Rivers Bill was discussed in Committee almost clause by clause , and other Bills having been advanced a stage , the House adjourned .

In the House of Commons , on Friday , Mr . Disraeli having offered a few remarks as to the state of public business , Mr . Stacpoole , on the motion forgoing into Committee of Supply , moved an amendment , to the effect that au humble address , be presented to Her Majesty , requesting
