ON Monday , the 21 st nit ., an important Masonio function was performed at the County Assembly Rooms , Lincoln , at the opening of the Ermine Lodge , No . 2351 , Col . Shadwell H . Clerke G . Secretary of England being Consecrating Officer . Nearly 200 Masons were present , from all parts of the Province of Lincolnshire , and the gathering was of a brillinnt description . THE W . M . Bro . F . J . Price and brethren of this Lodge gave an "At home" at their Lodge-rooms in the Masouic Hall , Phoenix Street , Stonehouse , on the 23 rd ult . The Lodge and the room adjoining it were tastefully decorated with evergreens , curtains , and banners , while the east and west walls of the latter bore the words " Welcome" and " Pleasant hours fly by " respeo .

After the repast several toasts were proposed , amongst others being that of the Worshipful Master , proposed by the Provincial Grand Master , who appreciated his working , and congratulated him and the brethren on the rapid progress they

were making this year , and wishing them continued success . The Provincial Grand Master also expressed his pleasure at being present on this occasion , and promised that he would again visit the Lodge during the W . M . ' s year of office . The remainder of the evening was spent in a convivial manner , songs being given by several of the brethren .

Woodrow , took place at the Freemasons ' Hall , Landport , on the 24 th nit ., in the presence of a large attendance of the brethren of tho Lodge , Present and Past Provincial Grand Officers , and brethren from neighbouring Lodges .
