Bro . H . Toozes P . M . proposed tho W . M . of the Hnmber Lodge , and the newly appointed Officers , and observed that Bro . Henderson , he believed , would do honour to tho Lodgr , and to Freemasonry in general . Ho also complimented tho Officers on their appointment . Tho W . M ., who was received with applause , said , in responding , that ho was an untried and young Mason , and bo felt very proud to he

placed in tho chair of tho Hnmber Lodge , which was one of the largest and wealthiest in the kingdom . Ho could only sa ? that while ho held tho position he would do tbe best ho could to furtfn-r the interests of Freemasons in general and of the Hnmber Lodgo in particular . He trusted that he could rely on the hearty support of his brethren . With regard to his Officers , ho had had very few appointments to make , and a host of brethren whom ho should hav < -

liked to put into offtcp , but if there wero any disappointed ones their tnrn would come if they persevered .
