Reports Of Meetings.
( Nunhead ) said he was delighted to b . e amongst the Brethren of the Skelmersdale Lodge again , and was pleased to hear the W . M . mention Lodges of Instruction . Attendance thereat would stimulate the 3 'ounger members to get on in their Mother Lodge . The W . M .
could not attend their Instruction Lodge now , because the distance from Heme Bay to Nunhead was about eighty miles , but he used to attend the meetings of that and other Lodges of Instruction , otherwise he could not have worked their beautiful ceremonies so perfectly as he had done that evening .
Bro . John Rugg J . W . 1298 thanked the W . M . for the way in which he had spoken of the Royal Standard Lodge . It was the first time he had visited their Lodge , but he hoped it would not be the last . It was an understood law in his Lodge that every member should attend instruction meetings , and he was pleased to hear the same mentioned by the W . M . He highly appreciated the working of the Master , and the . hearty reception he had received , and sincerely thanked them all .
Bro . Omash S . D . 2649 also replied , thanking the members for their kind reception . He had been a member of the Craft for fourteen or fifteen years , but business had prevented his working up to the position of W . M . Being now S . D . in his Mother Lodge he should certainly work hard to gain the jjosition which the W . M . so worthily occupied that clay .
Bro . J . A . Barton J . D . 72 said it was the first time he had had the pleasure of attending the Lod ^ e . He thanked Bro . Bennett J . D . for having invited him . He had told him to be punctual at 4 . 30 , and he was pleased to have been so , because he had had the pleasure of witnessing the working from the commencement , and lie had highly enjoyed it ; it had been a real Masonic treat , and if the W . M . would allow him , he would givet a little song , just in a small way to show his gratitude .
The W . M . next presented in complimentary terms the toast of the Past Masters , Treasurer and Secretary , and Bro . Rowland P . M . responded . Other toasts followed , and that to all poor and distressed Masons terminated one of the pleasant evenings which are always to be had at the Skelmersdale Lodge .
The musical arrangements were excellent , Bro . H . Towsend with his usual ability officiating at the piano .

song of the old-fashioned pastoral kind , called " The Lincolnshire Poacher , " which was fittingly rendered by Bro . Goldthorpe , a veteran in musical entertaining matters . Bro . Herbert R . Greaves , whose place in the Lodge the present W . M . has succeeded to , was abroad , and the usual jewel for services in the chair could not be presented , but no doubt his return to England will , upon some evening in the future ,, supply the motif for a pleasant task in this direction .

M ., and took the opportunity of presenting him with a jewel for past services . It was inscribed :

Bloomsbury Rifles Lodge , No . 236 3 , would officiate , and knowing by experience that his working of the ritual of Freemasonry is exemplary , we put off other engagements in order to pay a visit to this Lodge on Tuesday , at the Oliver Arms , Westbourne Terrace North , Harrow Road , W .
Those present were Bros . G . Mogford P . M . 2362 W . M ., F . Beasley S . W ., E . Thomas J . W ., H . Dehane P . P . S . G . D . Preceptor , G . Weaver P . M . Treasurer , F . M . iddletom acting Sec , J . Matthews S . D ,, E . J . Potter J . D ., W . Wiffenbach I . G ., Chidley Steward , H . VV . Handover P . M ., T . Mogford P . M ., E . W . Tucker , H . Bagnall , Barns , Phillips , Houlton , Shaw , Wynman , and several others .
The Lodge being formed , the minutes were confirmed . Bros . Phillips and Houlton , who were lately initiated in the Mother Lodge , were favoursd with the ancient charge , delivered to them for the first time , by the W . M . The same Brethren answered the questions leading to the second degree , and retired . The W . M . rehearsed the ceremony of installation , Bro . T . Mogford P . M .
236 3 acting as D . C . and presenting Bro . H . Bagnall S . W . 733 as W . M .-elect . He being installed was saluted in the various degrees , and afterwards rehearsed the investiture of Officers . The installing Master Bro . George Mogford delivered the three addresses in his usual dashing style . There was not the slightest hitch or hesitation , the work was all that could be desired . The W . M . having resumed his position in the Lodge , Bro . West 2049 anc ^ Bro .
Anthoney 1977 were elected members . Bro . Dehame P . M . proposed that a hearty vote of thanks be passed to Bro . G . Mogford to show the appreciation of the Brethren of the real Masonic treat they had received . Bro . Mogford only had the opportunity of showing his ability two or three times a year . Bro . G . Mogford said it was the first time this vear he had officiated as W . M . ' , and he was pleased to hear that his working was appreciated .
Bro . Dehane also proposed that a hearty vote be passed to Bro . Bagnall S . W . of the Mother Lodge for the ability with which he had invested the Officers for the first time ; and to Bro .
