( Mayor of Colchester ) .

Bro . Joseph Grimes was re-elected to represent the Lodge on the Essex Provincial Charity Committee ; and a hearty vote of thanks was passed to the Installing Master , not only for the ability with which he had performed the installation ceremony , but for his devotion to the best interests of the Lodge during his year of office , notwithstanding his onerous duties as Mayor of the Borough . The Secretary was directed to write a letter of condolence to two members of the Lodge who had suffered bereavement since tho lasfc meeting in June .

Between fifty and sixty Brethren afterwards dined together at the Cups Hotel , the repast being as usual well served by Bro . and Mrs . Brown . The new VV .
