THE year just closed has shown a steady increase in the amounts subscribed by the Craft in the cause of Benevolence , the totals for 1897 , as compared with those of 1896 being as follow : 1896 . 1897 .

C . . The annual banquet will be subsequently held in the Grand Salon , Holborn Bestauranb , at whioh Sir Joseph Dimsdale J . G . W . has kindly consented to preside .
